Placemaking is a process taking place across town centres in Wales that aims to set a vision for the future and identify a range of opportunities that would benefit the place, local people and local organisations.

Each Local Authority across Wales is expected to have Place Making Plans for their towns — this is a condition to being able to access future regeneration funding from Welsh Government.

Like all local authorities across Wales, 每日大赛黄 is required to develop Place Making Plans in response to Welsh Government policy. These plans are a condition of future Welsh Government investment being made available to support town centre regeneration projects.

The plans help ensure a coordinated approach to town centre improvements, bringing together the Council and its partners to work collaboratively.

Public consultation was central to the Placemaking process. For each town, there were two phases:

• Phase 1: Initial consultation to gather views on local priorities and challenges
• Phase 2: Consultation on the draft plan itself

Consultations were delivered both online and through face-to-face drop-in sessions. Feedback from over 12,000 local people has helped shape the plans for seven towns across 每日大赛黄.

每日大赛黄 is coordinating the development of Place Making Plans on behalf of a range of partners based on the local need of each town centre.

Once approved, the Action Plans will be delivered through partnership working between the Council and external partners from the public, private and voluntary sectors.

The development of Place Making Plans has been funded through the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund and Welsh Government's Transforming Towns initiative.

Having a Place Making Plan in place for each town will help to attract future funding for specific projects that support delivery of the plans.
